System Engineering division is a close-knit group of network enthusiasts dedicated to designing and implementing robust, maintenance-free networks that stand the test of time.
What You Work:
As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for driving technical projects, managing resources effectively, balancing team workloads. You will design solutions, oversee testing, and mentor junior engineers to ensure productivity and skill development. Also, you will manage resources, troubleshoot/ debug issues, writing and reviewing test cases to ensure code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Initial deployments of new enterprise switching products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs.
- Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment.
- Design and implement enterprise switching systems and networks.
Responsible for RFI/RFP. - Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design).
- Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions.
- Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.).
- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.
- Interact with diverse teams like R&D, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG & TAC Team.
- Develop and implement network security measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Mandatory skills:
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Thorough knowledge of L2 switching, IPv4 and IPv6 routing.
- Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP.
- Should be an expert in resiliency mechanism like VRRP, stacking etc and the application of same to networks.
- Should have expertise in enterprise features like 802.1x, ACL, port security, DHCP, ARP, Voice VLAN etc .
- Understanding and design aspects of LAG, xSTP and ERPS.
- Should have customer interaction experience.
- Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad.
Desired skills:
- Certification Switching (CCNP, CCIE-ENT, JNCIE-ENT/DC, etc.).
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 6 to 10 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
- Education: Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
